Rawlings Batting Helmets
Rawlings has multiple lines of batting helmets, the most popular being the Coolflo Series. Rawlings helmets are all approved by the National Operational Committee on Standards of Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) for safety. Rawlings offers a line of Major League Baseball helmets that are authentic, but not NOCSAE approved and rarely seen worn by players outside the MLB.
While many retail stores, walk up and online, offer helmets by hat size (6 7/8 - 8) the majority sale helmets in standardized sizing (S, M, L and XL). This helps makes the Coolflo Series batting helmet so popular because standardized sizing makes individual and team sales much easier for the consumer. Made of a High Impact ABS shell this helmet provides the ultimate protection at the plate. Rawlings also borrows the Pro Dri Plus material from their catchers equipment, and uses it in the Coolflo batting helmets. This material wicks away moisture helping keep you cool and reducing the likelihood of bacteria. These helmets are offered in metallic and flat paint colors. The metallic colors are Black, Cardinal, Dark Green, Maroon, Navy, Orange, Purple, Scarlet, Silver, Vegas Gold and Royal. The flat colors that the helmet is available in are Black, Cardinal, Dark Green, Light Gold, Maroon, Navy, Pink, Purple, Scarlet, Teal, White and Navy.
If your league or team requires face guards the Coolflo series comes with predrilled holes to fasten a face guard. Rawlings offers two different face guards, one geared towards baseball and the other towards softball. Both of these face guards are made of ultra-light hollow wire construction, and have large eye openings for optimal visibility. Both helmets are approved safe for play by NOCSAE.
